Ferinject is funded where:*
Oral iron therapy has not sufficiently improved iron levels or cannot be taken
Intolerance to the iron tablets is preventing treatment
Rapid correction is required
It is also funded for people with certain health conditions such as heart failure, chronic kidney disease or inflammatory bowel disease.
